Airfield Permits – Single Use Operating Certificate (SUOC) 

What is it?

As its name implies, a SUOC provides an air carrier permission to conduct a single operation. The Permits Unit issues SUOC's for LAX. A carrier may use a maximum of 5 SUOC's per calendar year.

Who gets it?

Carriers interested in one-time or very infrequent operations, such as a charter not to exceed 5 times per calendar year.

Who doesn't get it?


Scheduled passenger or cargo aircraft.
Private ("GA") aircraft.
Air Carriers operating in excess of 5 times per year
