Meet the Team

Angela Reddock-Wright, Esq., LAMP Compliance Manager

A practicing attorney for 25 years and named a “Best Lawyer in America” for employment and labor law, and a “Southern California Super Lawyer” by her peers each year for the last ten years, Angela Reddock- Wright is regarded as a “go-to” attorney and consultant when it comes to any issues dealing with the workplace, Project Labor Agreement (PLA), labor and workforce compliance. Angela is the Founding & Managing Partner of the Reddock Law Group, a boutique, minority, and woman owned dispute resolution, investigations, and construction/infrastructure PLA and labor compliance firm based in downtown Los Angeles. The firm also provides alternative dispute resolution services as mediators, arbitrators, hearing officers, facilitators, investigators, and other ADR processes. Although based in Los Angeles, the firm services all of California.

Angela began her work in the construction and infrastructure industries as an appointed member of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustees from 2006 through 2009. During this time, she was a part of the Board that passed Measure J, a multi-billion-dollar bond, that allowed for the construction of new buildings and the renovation of old buildings, at the District’s nine campuses. Angela was a member of the Board’s Infrastructure Committee and was a leader in ensuring compliance with the District’s PLA, along with its local hire and small business inclusion programs. During this time, Angela developed great relationships with the District’s faculty and staff unions, as well as the Los Angeles-OC Building Trades Council and its member unions, and the Southwest Council of Regional Carpenters. She also maintained good relationships with the District’s administrative teams and often was seen as someone who brought a fair and balanced approached to all situations and had great respect for and understanding of the shared governance model and process for community colleges.

Following her time on the LACCD Board, Angela expanded her law firm to include providing PLA and labor compliance consultation and administration services for public and private sector construction and infrastructure projects. Angela served as the Co-PLA Administrator, on behalf of general contractor Turner-AECOM Hunt JV, for the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, CA. Angela also serves as the Compliance Manager for the Business, Jobs & Social Responsibility team at the Los Angeles World Airports, on its multi-billion-dollar Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). As a member of the team, Angela assists the team in providing oversight for contractor compliance with the local hire, small business inclusion and other requirements that have been set for the project.

In addition to her work in the construction and infrastructure sectors, Angela is an experienced employment law attorney, mediator, arbitrator, and investigator. Prior to opening the Reddock Law Group in 2011, Angela was an employment and labor law litigator for 15 years. During this time, she represented clients in the full gamut of employment and labor law cases, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, public policy and wage and hour claims.

Currently, Angela and the firm focus on resolving issues between employers and employees through the mediation, arbitration, facilitation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes. She and the firm also conduct independent workplace and Title IX investigations for public, private, and non-profit sector entities, including community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, and K-12 public, private and independent schools. Angela also is a member of the Los Angeles County Equity Oversight Panel, which oversees and provides input on the investigations conducted related to alleged workplace misconduct of County and Sherriff’s Department employees.

In addition to having her own firm, Angela is honored to have recently joined Judicate West as one of its mediators and arbitrators. This is of particular significance as Angela is one of the only African-American women to be on a top ADR panel. Angela has demonstrated her commitment to the field of mediation and conflict resolution by her service as a volunteer mediator with the U.S. District Court, Central District of California; her service as the 2019 President of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) and board member for several years prior; and as an Adjunct Instructor in the Employment Mediation Program at USC Gould School of Law; an Adjunct Professor in the Negotiations, Conflict Resolution and Peace program at California State University, Dominguez Hills; and an instructor n the human resources certification program at UCLA Extension.

As a workplace and Title IX investigator, Angela is certified through the Association of Workplace Investigators. She has extensive experience investigating and mediating traditional workplace claims for high level private and public sector entities, along with Title IX sexual assault, hazing and bullying cases for K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.

Beyond her experience as an attorney, Angela has a breadth of experience working in the government, community, and non-profit sectors. She has run for and served in public office. She has served as an appointee on multiple government and public sector boards, including the LACCD Board of Trustees (mentioned above), the California State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology, the Los Angeles County Small Business Commission, and the City of Los Angeles Transportation Commission.

Angela also has served in executive leadership board roles with such organizations as Ability First, the Brentwood School of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles African-American Women’s Public Policy Institute (also a founding member of this organization). Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Women in Non-Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER), the Los Angeles Urban League, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. She also is an Advisory Board Member for the Young Invincibles, Los Angeles office.

Angela is a graduate of UCLA School of Law and Amherst College. She received her training as a mediator from the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law. She has been a distinguished fellow with the Coro Foundation of Los Angeles, the German Marshall Fund, and the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.

She also is a published author, speaker, and legal commentator and also hosts a weekly radio show on KBLA Talk 1580 entitled “Legal Lens with Angela Redodck-Wright.”

Angela’s mission is to help employers and employees create great and health workplaces.
