LAX Ops Advisory - Temporary Relocation of the TBIT Airline Crew Shuttle Stop

Advisory: 2022-11

August 11, 2022
Temporary Relocation of the TBIT Airline Crew Shuttle Stop

The pedestrian bridge installation project at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) will begin in mid-September and will last for approximately five weeks. This will be the 7th and final pedestrian bridge project that will connect TBIT with the West Automated People Mover (APM) station. To support this substantial project the airline crew shuttle stop will need to be temporarily relocated. This will provide much needed passenger pickup area that will be taken away from the project at the center of the terminal. The crew shuttle stop will be relocated from the north side of TBIT to nearby West Way. The temporary shuttle stop on West Way will begin operational on Saturday, September 10th at 0700 hours.

West Way is located just east of Parking Structure 3. There will static wayfinding signs and flagging personnel directing crew members to West Way. Crew members should stay on the designated path and use the cross walk. There will be tent shelters and seating. Additionally, the Crew Coordinators will continue to help connect crews to their shuttles. Crew members are reminded to continue to check-in at the podium located inside TBIT upon their arrival. After completion of the bridge, the crew shuttle stop will be restored to its original location.
