06/01/2022 12:00 PM

Advisory: 2022-08
June 1, 2022
Taxiway C Closure
Between Taxilane C9 and Gate 59
Taxiway C will be closed between Taxilane C9 and Gate 59 from June 14, 2022 until July 25, 2022. This closure is to support the Taxiway C pavement reconstruction project and will include demolition of the current asphalt pavement, construction of new concrete pavement, and installation of taxiway markings, signs and lighting.

Please expect the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower to provide alternate routing instructions around this taxiway closure for taxiing or towing aircraft.

Drivers should use caution when driving around the construction area due to high traffic and temporary changes that may occur. Vehicle Service Road (VSR) C and the crossings between VSR C and Terminal 5, between VSR C and Terminal 4, and between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 will remain available. However, vehicles will not be able to drive around the southwest corner of Terminal 5 due to construction.

Drivers should also be alert and use caution when driving northbound and southbound along the east side of Terminal 4 in Taxilane C9 for aircraft pushing back from Gates 42A and 51B as the aircraft wingtips will need to encroach into closed gate 46B so that the aircraft can be turned around to get the aircraft positioned tail north at ramp control spot #2.
