LAX Construction Advisory

OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES ON EASTBOUND CENTURY BLVD. AT AVION DR.

Activity:

To facilitate work for the Automated People Mover (APM) project, an overnight closure of up to two eastbound lanes on Century Blvd. between the LAX Exit Ramp and Avion Dr. will be implemented overnight from Saturday, May 18 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, May 19 at 9 a.m.

Starting Saturday night at 10 p.m. through Sunday morning at 9 a.m., a portion of one westbound lane on Century Blvd. west of Avion Dr. will also be closed.

During this work, the two left turn lanes from eastbound Century Blvd. to northbound Avion Dr., including U-turns toward LAX via westbound Century Blvd, will also be closed. Vehicles may use Airport Blvd. to reach either route.

Please note: On Sunday, May 19 from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., both the Departures Level World Way South ramp and northbound Sepulveda Blvd ramp to eastbound Century Blvd. will be closed (approx. 5 hours). The portion of the northbound Sepulveda Blvd. ramp leading to the LAX Airport Entry flyover will remain open.

Through traffic in both directions, including access to and from LAX, will be maintained at all times, as will access to and from Avion Dr., south of Century Blvd.

Flaggers and signage will be in place to assist with wayfinding and maintenance of traffic. Please plan ahead for potential delays, always observe posted signage, remain alert and use caution when traveling near construction areas.
