LAX Ops Advisory - Runway 6R-24L 17.5 Hour Closure Routine Maintenance Activities June 14, 2025 (0030-1800 PDT)

Runway 6R-24L will close on Saturday, June 14, 2025 for 17.5 hours beginning at 0030 PDT, re-opening at 1800 PDT.

This closure will support routine maintenance activities including rubber removal, runway markings repainting, FOD control, vegetation control, erosion control, runway lighting, signage and pavement maintenance.

Additional Runway & Taxiway Closures:

From 0030 - 0630 PDT, Runway 6L-24R will also be closed. This is to enhance the safety of maintenance personnel working on Runway 6R-24L, by preventing aircraft from crossing at the east, via Taxiways S, T and U, while in Over Ocean Operations.

From 0600 - 1800 PDT, Taxiway's S, T and U will be closed, again to enhance safety the of those working on Runway 6R-24L. LAX should be in Westerly Operations during the planned closure hours, therefore these taxiway closures will be no factor for the operational flow of the airport.

Please forward this Advisory to all relevant ground operations, technical operations, and flight operations departments.
