LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS ANNOUNCES NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR, MEDIA RELATIONS

(Los Angeles, CA) Today, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) announced the promotion of Becca Doten to the position of Managing Director, Media Relations.

“At Los Angeles World Airports, we are committed to delivering world-class airports, and we can only do that if we communicate our vision effectively,” said Deborah Flint, CEO, LAWA. “After a national search, I am delighted that Becca Doten, one of our internal stars, emerged as the clear choice to lead our public and media relations. Since joining LAWA in 2017, Becca has proven herself to be skillful, innovative and creative, and I know that in this new leadership role she will help us realize the full potential of our airports.”

Ms. Doten was selected after a national search that attracted highly qualified candidates. She brings a deep understanding of the unique dynamics and complexities of LAWA and its initiatives, as well as a strong familiarity with the Los Angeles media and political landscape. She has been with LAWA since July 2017, in the role of Director of Public Relations. She previously served as the Chief of Staff to a Los Angeles City Councilmember, Director of Mayor Garcetti’s Crisis Response Team and the Assistant Deputy State Controller in charge of External Affairs. She is a sworn Reserve Police Officer with the LAPD and a graduate of the University of Southern California. Ms. Doten will report to Chief External Affairs Officer Michelle Schwartz.
