LOCAL CULINARY LANDMARK GLADSTONE’S 4 FISH OPENS RESTAURANT AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

 

(Los Angeles, California – January 29, 2009)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and HMSHost Corporation today celebrated the opening of Gladstone’s 4 Fish seafood restaurant – a Southern California culinary landmark in Malibu – at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX).  This is the first airport site for Gladstone’s and the restaurant is located in Terminal 3 after passenger security screening.

            Renowned for having the largest selection of fresh seafood on the U.S. West Coast, Gladstone’s at LAX offers menu favorites including, The Chowder That Made Us FamousBlue Wave Salmon Salad and the Down Home Lobster Roll sandwich. Desserts, premium spirits, wines and beer on tap and by the bottle round out dining options. 

“Gladstone’s is an essential part of the Los Angeles experience,” said Gina Marie Lindsey, LAWA executive director.  “Thanks to HMSHost’s innovative concepts and partnerships with famous restaurants and brands, LAX travelers can now enjoy the food of Gladstone’s and many other outstanding dining options here at the airport.”

Last October, La Brea Bakery, known for fresh-baked artisan breads, opened its first airport locations in Terminals 1, 2 and 7.  Baja Fresh, which offers quick, casual Mexican dishes, also opened in Terminal 7.  On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina, offering mesquite-grilled specialties and traditional Mexican favorites, opened in Terminal 4. 

Later this year, HMSHost will open the first airport location of Pinkberry in Terminal 1.  Known for its trademark tart yogurt, Pinkberry is a popular local eatery featuring premium frozen yogurt.
