Vanessa Rodriguez is a strategist with more than two decades of public affairs experience. As Deputy Executive Director of External Affairs, Vanessa leads communications, community relations, and government affairs functions for Los Angeles World Airports to integrate and align strategies with organizational priorities. She serves as strategic counsel to the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Executive Team.

Vanessa is guiding LAWA through its unprecedented $30 billion capital improvement program which will provide a world class traveler experience as Los Angeles hosts the 2026 FIFA World Cup, 2026 NBA All-Star Game, Super Bowl LXI, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Prior to her appointment to LAWA, Vanessa developed public affairs programs for Fortune 500 companies, startups, national nonprofits, and California lawmakers. Vanessa specializes in working collaboratively across verticals to create dynamic strategies that deliver positive outcomes. 
Vanessa is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
