Mark D. Frank, Deputy Executive Director of Sourcing and Economic Impact

As Deputy Executive Director of Sourcing and Economic Impact, Mark Darius Frank leads the transformation of procurement operations and spearheads initiatives focused on small business inclusion and supplier diversity. His efforts will help streamline and enhance procurement processes for all LAWA stakeholders and business partners. Mark oversees Strategic Sourcing, Business, Jobs and Social Responsibility, and the Economic Impact Team; collaborates with the City Attorney’s Office; and engages local business communities to drive meaningful impact and operational excellence.

Mark brings over 20 years of experience with Los Angeles World Airports. His tenure at LAWA includes working in procurement roles in several divisions, as well as supporting the work of Airport Affairs, Human Resources, and Terminal Operations. Mark most recently served as Interim Director of Strategic Sourcing where he led a major internal transformation of LAWA’s procurement function.  

Mark holds degrees from the University of Southern California and the University of Oxford, where he earned an Executive MBA.
