Eastbound Century Boulevard and Select LAX Ramps

Aug. 20, 2025 — To facilitate foundation work for the Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project (ATMP), underground pipelines must be relocated along Sepulveda Boulevard (Phase 1, Ongoing) and Century Boulevard (Phase 2). This Friday, August 22, the following closures will be in effect for Phase 2.

Traffic Impacts (Eastbound Century Boulevard)
The Departures Level Century Boulevard connector from Upper World Way South and the northbound Sepulveda Boulevard Ramp to eastbound Century Boulevard will be closed during this work. Up to three lanes on eastbound Century Boulevard will be closed, with one lane of eastbound through traffic maintained at all times, illustrated below.

Work Hours:
Closure activities are scheduled from midnight to 5 a.m., with crews mobilizing the night of Thursday, August 21. Actual start times are subject to nightly operational determinations and may occur earlier if conditions permit. All lanes will be reopened daily outside of work hours.

Portable Changeable Message Signs (PCMS) and other signage will be in place to facilitate all movements. Please watch for posted signage, use caution when traveling near construction areas, and plan ahead for potential delays.

Additional work will be required at these areas; this Construction Impacts Notice will be followed by subsequent notices to reflect future closures. This notice follows an earlier Construction Impacts Notice issued for Phase 1 along Sepulveda Boulevard.
