IN LIGHT OF DRY ICE INCIDENTS AT LAX AIRPORT POLICE OFFICERS ARE ON EXTRA PATROLS
(Los Angeles, California – October 15, 2013) In light of the last two incidents involving dry Ice in bottles at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Airport Police officers are on extra patrols at all terminals on the airfield ramps and in the public areas (on foot, bikes, in black and whites and with canine teams). The safety and security of the travelling public is our priority and we want to reassure the public that LAX is safe. We encourage the public and the airport community to report suspicious activity to Airport Police dispatch at (310) 646-7911. If you see something, Say something, Security is everybody’s business.
The lead law enforcement agency for this incident is the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Airport Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
