FIVE NEW OFFICERS JOIN LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE
(Los Angeles, California – July 10, 2015) Los Angeles Airport Police graduated five new officers today. Officers Gary Chen, Jason Flores, Zachariah Pierini, Jesse Rodriguez, and squad leader Pedro Shin were sworn-in after graduating from Los Angeles Police Academy class 1-15. The graduation ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Police Department Administration Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
Airport Police Assistant Chief Brian Walker conducted the officers’ swearing in. He welcomed the officers to the Airport Police family and thanked their families for supporting these young men and ensuring their success. Assistant Chief Walker told the new officers “It is my honor and pleasure to swear-in five new officers as the newest members of the Los Angeles Airport Police. I know you worked hard and were committed during your training in the academy and I have the utmost confidence that you will maintain that same work ethic and commitment throughout your career’s in law enforcement.”
Class 1-15 with 39 officers, trained for six months. The five new Airport Police officers will next complete a six-month Field Training Program specific to airport law enforcement under the guidance of a field training officer before being assigned to Patrol Services Section.
