THREE NEW OFFICERS JOIN LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE 12-14
(Los Angeles, California – May 15, 2015) Los Angeles Airport Police graduated three new officers today. Officers Jaime Figueroa, Michael Hernandez, Ian Henley were sworn-in after graduating from Los Angeles Police Academy class 12-14. The graduation ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Police Department Administration Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
Airport Police Chief Patrick M. Gannon conducted the officers’ swearing in. He welcomed the officers to the Airport Police family and thanked their families for putting the young men in a position to succeed. Chief Gannon told the officers “You are all top draft choices but it’s up to you, the individual, to work hard and become a productive police officer”.
Class 12-14 which consisted of 29 officers went through six months training. They marched onto the academy graduating grounds for the commencement of the ceremony. All three officers are expected to complete a six-month Field Training Program specific to airport law enforcement under the guidance of a field training officer before being assigned to the Patrol Services Section.
