THREE NEW OFFICERS JOIN LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE
(Los Angeles, California – April 17, 2015) the Los Angeles Airport Police welcomed three new officers today following the graduation ceremony of Academy class 11-14. Officers Daniel Alonzo, Officer Rogelio Medina and Yuri Nagata were sworn in following the ceremony at the Los Angeles Police Department Administration Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
Officer Alonzo is following in the footsteps of his father, Los Angeles Airport Police Officer Jose Alonzo, who has been with the Airport Police for over twenty seven years. Continuing the family legacy of service to the traveling public and leadership in the recruit academy, Officer Daniel Alonzo was selected by his peers as Vice President of his class.
Airport Police Assistant Chief Brian Walker conducted the officers’ swearing in. After introducing the families and friends of the graduating class to the Los Angeles Airport Police Command Staff, Supervisors and other Officers, Assistant Chief Walker thanked them for their support and encouraged them to continue to support their loved ones.
The Los Angeles Airport Police is the nation's premier aviation law enforcement agency with more than 1,100 specially trained police officers, security officers, and civilian staff protecting Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International, and Van Nuys airports.
