LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE OFFICERS RECOGNIZED DURING THE LAX COASTAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PROTECTORS APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
(Los Angeles, California – March 29, 2016) Los Angeles Airport Police Senior Lead Officers Jessie Farber and Shane Young were recognized for their contributions during the LAX Chamber of Commerce Protectors Luncheon held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Culver City.
Senior Lead Officers Farber and Young were selected for their work with the Manchester Square Homeless Program and their participation in the City of Los Angeles homeless count, where they joined City entities to count homeless residents in the Manchester Square area. They coordinated homeless placement with shelter groups (i.e. Exxodus, and PATH-People Assisting The Homeless), and provided homeless residents with information on transportation during this year El Nino rains. Additionally, they worked with LAPD Senior Lead Officers to address crime in the Manchester Square area and worked with Los Angeles World Airports to address quality of life for the local residents.
The LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce and its sponsors treated Public Safety Personnel from the Los Angeles Airport Police, Los Angeles Police, LA Fire, LA County Sheriff, California Highway Patrol and Coast Guard to an outstanding program of food, entertainment and recognition of the contributions from each public safety agency. “This was a great turnout in support of Officers Farber and Young. Thank you to the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce for your support” said Assistant Chief Dave Maggard.
