TWO NEW OFFICERS JOIN LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE
(Los Angeles, California – March 20, 2015) Los Angeles Airport Police promoted two recruits to officers today. Officers Levi Swindell and Dexter Tolenino were sworn in after their graduation ceremony at the Los Angeles Police Department Administration Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
Officer Levi Swindell was selected as a Squad Leader. Officer Dexter Tolentino was the Class Guide and was recognized as the Top Recruit in physical training. Officer Tolentino also received the Tina Kerbrat Award, which is given to the recruit deemed “most inspirational”.
Airport Police Chief Patrick M. Gannon conducted the officers’ swearing in. Thanking the officers’ families for their support, Chief Gannon said, “We are blessed to have these two gentlemen represent our agency. The chief described the new officers’ selection as Squad Leader and Class Guide as “tremendous accomplishments”.
Also attending the graduation were Assistant Airport Police Chief Brian Walker, Captain Greg Staar, Academy Drill Instructor for Graduating Class 10-14 Adela Lopez, Los Angeles World Airports Human Resources Director Paula Adams and Los Angeles World Airports Human Resources Senior Personnel Analyst II D’ann McCoy-Snearl.
