TWO NEW OFFICERS JOIN LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE
(Los Angeles, California – January 23, 2015) Los Angeles Police Academy Class 8-14 graduates Officer Joshua Garcia and Officer Salvador Vasquez, joined the ranks as the newest members of the Los Angeles Airport Police. The officers took part in graduation ceremonies at the Los Angeles Police Department Administration Building in Downtown, Los Angeles.
Officer Salvador Vasquez was a squad leader for his class and received honors as top officer in Arrest and Control. After the ceremony, Airport Police Chief Patrick Gannon personally conducted the officers’ swearing-in. Telling the men's families how proud he is of the two officers, Chief Patrick Gannon congratulated them and thanked their families for their continued support throughout their journey to become a part of the law enforcement family.
Also attending today’s graduation, Assistant Airport Police Chief Brian Walker, Acting Assistant Chief Fernando Castro, Captain Greg Staar and Academy Drill Instructor Adela Lopez.
