Airside Operations

Primary Mission: Ensure the safety and efficiency of the airfield to maintain compliance with FAR Part 139

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the airfield on a continual basis as mandated under FAR Part 139 to identify and correct deficiencies that affect safety.
  • Support and respond to all airside emergencies and incidents.
  • Coordinate all airside construction activities affecting movement areas, ramps, and service roads.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with FAR Part 139 and other applicable regulations.
  • Enforces, tracks, and promotes safety on the airfield.
  • Operates the Ramp Control Tower to provide oversight and control movement and ramp areas not controlled by Air Traffic Control.
  • Provides airfield bus transportation services to/from the remote gates and various check-in facilities.
