Van Nuys Airport Holds Food Drive
(Van Nuys, Calif.) - Van Nuys Airport tenants and employees in conjunction with the Economic Alliance are hosting a food drive to benefit the SOVA Food Pantry in Van Nuys. The collection runs until 5 p.m., November 21. “The collection encourages employees and community members to donate non-perishable, unopened items to those in need,” said Selena Birk, Van Nuys Airport Manager.

For 25 years, the three SOVA pantries have provided free groceries and supportive resources for men, women, and children in need of assistance. Nearly five thousand individuals per month benefit from SOVA’s services, and an approach that has been described as the model for food assistance in the future.
