OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF WORLD WAY AT TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL TO BE IN EFFECT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TRAVEL IMPACTS AT LAX**

Activity:

Beginning on the night of Sunday, Sept. 25 at 11 p.m., overnight lane closures on the Upper/Departures and Lower/Arrivals levels of World Way near the Tom Bradley International Terminal are scheduled to support the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the roadway. When complete, the bridge will connect the future West Central Terminal Area Automated People Mover station to the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Guests are asked to plan ahead for possible traffic delays.

During these closures, landside operations will be staffing the Traffic Management Command Post to monitor and respond to all traffic-related concerns. In addition, traffic officers, construction personnel and airport operations staff will be on-site 24/7 through the duration of the project to help mitigate impacts and provide assistance to travelers. Traffic officers will strictly enforce a no-stopping rule for vehicles traveling in front of the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Closures of the Lower/Arrivals Level outer lanes (map 1) will occur from Sunday, Sept. 25 to Wednesday, Oct. 5 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. During these closures, all traffic will be detoured to the Lower/Arrivals Level inner lanes.

Full closures of the Upper/Departure Level lanes (map 2) will occur from Monday, Sept. 26 to Tuesday, Oct. 4 from midnight to 4 a.m. During the full closures, traffic will follow the southbound West Way detour to access terminals 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Access to Parking Structures 3 and 4 will be maintained, with exits available on the Lower/Arrivals Level.

Additionally, in the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 26 and Wednesday, Sept. 28, traffic on the Upper/Departures Level roadway will be stopped at 3 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes to install sections of the bridge over the roadway.

Please watch for posted signage and prepare to follow all detour routes during this work. Always use caution when traveling through construction areas. Motorists are strongly advised to avoid this time by arriving before or after this work.
