Construction of a pedestrian bridge
Construction of a pedestrian bridge that will connect the vertical core at Terminal 4.5 to the West Central Terminal Area People Mover station will close Upper World Way at Terminal 4 overnight June 7-12, 14-15.

Activity:

From Monday, June 7 to Saturday, June 12, and Monday, June 14 to Tuesday, June 15, both the Upper/Departures and Lower/Arrivals levels of World Way will be closed at Terminal 4 for varying eight-hour segments between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. These closures will be in place to facilitate construction of the pedestrian bridge connecting the future West Central Terminal Area Automated People Mover station to the Terminal 4.5 vertical core. During the full closures, vehicles will utilize established detours to route around the closures, access the terminals and exit the Airport via World Way South. See below for date specific impacts.

Upper/Departures Level (map 1) traffic will follow traffic control directions on East Way and West Way to access the terminals. Access will be maintained to Parking Structure 3 and Parking Structure 4. Vehicles can enter the parking structures from Upper World Way and will be routed through the parking structure to exit via Lower World Way.

Lower/Arrivals Level (map 2) traffic will follow traffic control directions to route along West Way to access the terminals. The international terminal arrivals level will be accessible from Parking Structure 3. Traffic exiting Parking Structure 4 will be routed around the closures on Lower World Way.

On Thursday, June 4, Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 12, from midnight to 8 a.m., a full closure of Lower World Way lanes will be implemented. See Map1 below for detour routes.

In addition to the full closures, from Wednesday, June 2 to Friday, July 9, daily and nightly lane closures on World Way across from Terminal 4 will be utilized to support constructing the pedestrian bridge.
