The Cooperation Agreement was made and entered on ________between Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and the LAX Coalition for Economic, Environmental and Educational justice.
The LAX Coalition is an unincorporated association comprised exclusively of Organizations that are signatories to the Agreement. The organizations include AGENDA, AME Master’s Alliance, Clergy and Laity Unity for Economic Justice; Coalition for Clean Air; Communities for a Better Environment; Community Coalition; Community Coalition for Change; Environmental Defense; Inglewood Coalition for Drug and Violence Prevention; Inglewood Democratic Club; Lennox Coordinating Council; Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy; Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce; Nation of Islam; Natural Resources Defense Council; Physicians for Social Responsibility Los Angeles; Service Employees International Union Local 347; and Teamsters Local 911.
The Cooperation Agreement is valid through December 31, 2015 or until the conclusion of the LAX Master Plan, whichever comes later, except that the Agreement shall expire under any circumstance by December 31, 2020.
LAWA is committed to take all action required by the Agreements and will not take any action regarding the LAX Master Plan Program that conflicts with the terms of the agreements.
With these Agreements, LAWA confirms its partnership and commitment to the community and ensured continued dialogue and community participation throughout the implementation of the LAX Master Plan Program.
The combined value of these community benefits agreements is approximately $500 million.
