Samantha Bricker was appointed Deputy Executive Director for Project Development and Coordination for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in July 2016, and appointed Executive Director of LAWA’s Environmental Programs Group in November 2016. She is responsible for coordinating with external agencies and stakeholders in support of LAWA’s Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP), and oversees all environmental programs at Los Angeles International (LAX) and Van Nuys (VNY) general aviation airports. Bricker joins LAWA following her tenure as Chief Operating Officer of the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority. In that role, she coordinated the design and construction of Metro’s Expo rail line, where she managed a budget of $2.5 billion and directed the Authority’s procurement process, contract compliance, real estate program, as well as legal and third party agency coordination. In addition to directing the Authority’s community and government outreach efforts, Bricker also managed the environmental and planning process for the Expo line’s recent Phase 2 expansion.
Before her position with Metro, Bricker served as a legislative deputy to former Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky from 1994 to 2006. In this role, she worked on transportation projects like the Orange Line busway and the Red Line subway to Hollywood and North Hollywood.
Bricker earned a Master of Arts in Political Science from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University.
