The Administration Section is responsible for managing all fiscal, records and personnel matters for the Airport Police Division. The Administration Section manages the following units:
Fiscal Support Unit
The Fiscal Support Unit develops and monitors the division’s budget; manages the accounts payable functions of the division and manages the various reimbursement programs for the division. The Accounts Payable staff processes and monitors transactions, analyzes, reconciles and performs data entry of various information, including invoices and payments, to an internal automated tracking and reporting system. The Budget staff monitors and reports on all expenditures against the budget, generates monthly reports on such and assists divisional personnel by providing status on employees’ requests for funding. Lastly, the unit is responsible for establishing all authorities for the division including yearly contracts, service agreements, etc. Fiscal Support also manages TSA-reimbursement programs for the division.
Human Resources Liaison Unit
The Human Resources Liaison Unit (HRLU) is responsible for all personnel functions and procedures for Airport Police. This unit assists in the interviewing and choosing of applicants for all APD positions; notifying divisional staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records. It also maintains medical personnel folders, and tracks all HR information related to new hires, transfers, terminations and changes in job classifications. In addition, HRLU personnel oversees the FMLA, IOD, Light Duty programs for all APD personnel.
The Records Unit is responsible for maintaining the division’s personnel files, processing of police reports and subpoenas and timekeeping for all divisional personnel. The unit handles public requests for documents.
