OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF CENTURY BOULEVARD BRIDGE AND LAX RAMP FROM SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD FOR GUIDEWAY CONSTRUCTION
On Tuesday, Aug. 31, the Century Boulevard bridge from Upper World Way (Departures Level) used when exiting the Central Terminal Area will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. Also during this period, the LAX ramp from Sepulveda Boulevard used to access eastbound Century Boulevard and the Central Terminal Area will be closed midnight to 4 a.m. These closures are needed for construction of the Automated People Mover guideway crossing Century Boulevard. Travelers exiting the Central Terminal Area using Upper World Way will take the return ramp down to Lower/Arrivals level to exit via Center Way. Motorists going north on Sepulveda Boulevard will use the 96th Street detour to access Century Boulevard and LAX.
During the closures, travelers should plan to allow extra time to access LAX and use caution when traveling through the area.
