Gateways International Internship Program

The Gateways International Internship Program allows participants to work in various divisions at Los Angeles International (LAX) and Van Nuys Airports. Interns are placed within a division based on their career interest. As an international student you will gain valuable work experience in a real work environment and network with perspective employers at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).

Participants must be at least 16 years of age, have a good work ethic, reliable transportation and must work at least 10 hours a week, two days per week. Perspective interns may be asked to be interviewed by LAWA staff prior to entering the program.

As a policy, interns cannot be hired or placed under the direct or indirect supervision of relatives.

International students may apply for the internship program year round and must have a J-1 (work) or F-1 (academic) visa to be eligible to work at LAWA.
