Cynthia Guidry, Deputy Executive Director – Capital Programming & Planning Group
Cynthia Guidry manages the Capital Programming and Planning Group (CPPG) for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). She was appointed Interim Deputy Executive Director of CPPG on January 31, 2014, and oversees Planning, Engineering, Environmental and Facilities Management divisions.
In this position she manages a dynamic team of professionals to develop LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program and plan airside, landside and terminal projects. CPPG also is responsible for preparing environmental, land use compatibility and entitlement documents and coordinating with multiple agencies, tenants and community stakeholders.
Guidry’s staff provides technical expertise and support for facility infrastructure improvements and manages critical systems such as the Los Angeles International Airport Central Utility Plant.
Guidry joined LAWA in August 2001 and during her tenure has held a number of positions. For the past five years, Guidry held the position as the Chief Airport Planner and has led LAWA’s planning efforts in several accomplishments that she credits to her outstanding staff.
She is a registered Professional Engineer license and has 22 years with the City of Los Angeles. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter of Women Transportation Seminars.
Guidry holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Irvine.
