LAX RAMPS AT CENTURY AND SEPULVEDA BOULEVARDS TO CLOSE NIGHTLY FOR PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION

(UPDATED IMPACTS AND DATES)

Activity:

Overnight closures on the northbound and southbound ramps at Century and Sepulveda Boulevards, which serve as the entry and exit to LAX, will be implemented to install Cast-In-Drilled-Hole foundations in this location and to prepare the area for the future Automated People Mover guideway installation over Sepulveda Boulevard.

During the northbound ramp closure (map 1), travelers can use the detour route along West Century Boulevard. During the southbound ramp closure (map 2), travelers will need to take the 96th Street detour when exiting Sepulveda Boulevard. At times, the ramp closures will be concurrent. Signage will be posted instructing traffic about the closure and appropriate detour route.

Following the Labor Day holiday weekend, on September 9, 2020 crews will mobilize to the southbound loop to continue CIDH foundation work in this area. After the completion of the work, equipment will be removed from the area on September 22, 2020.

On September 16 and September 17, overnight lane closures, 10PM to 7AM, will be implemented on southbound Sepulveda Boulevard adjacent to the work area to support the construction operations in the southbound Sepulveda loop. Through traffic will be maintained.
