It is the mission of the Los Angeles World Airports Police Division – Security Services Section to provide a safe and secure environment for all travelers, employees, and visitors who enter and / or traverse restricted or limited access areas of Los Angeles World Airports, including the airfield, LAWA administrative buildings, LAWA property and facilities. The Security Services Section accomplishes it’s mission through: Sworn Law Enforcement support, administration, and coordination of a Comprehensive Airport Security Program; Deployment of Security Personnel for airfield perimeter access control, administrative area access control, and LAWA facility alarm monitoring. Liaison with all LAWA Police Division Sections, all LAWA Divisions, Federal Aviation Administration, other Government Law Enforcement Agencies, tenant security entities, and local police with regard to Aviation Security Issues.
