Companies certified by CUCP agencies should have a letter of certification as proof of their M/WBE, DBE and/or ACDBE status. You may want to request a copy of the certification letter from the subcontractors to verify their M/WBE, DBE and/or ACDBE status. Further, you must ensure that the specific categories of work that the M/WBE, DBE and/or ACDBE will perform on the project match the NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) codes for which they were certified in order for you to receive M/WBE, DBE and/or ACDBE participation credit from LAWA.
