Terminal Operations is responsible for managing the LAX Terminals and providing a seamless experience for the passengers transiting LAX. Terminal Managers serve as the point of contact for issues concerning customer service, resolving of issues related to infrastructure, concessions, maintenance, security, gate utilization policies and procedures, and space allocation issues. The Passenger Information Section: The Visitor Information and Services Unit consists of over 100 bilingual and multi-lingual Airport Guides who assist passengers in the Federal Inspection areas, which include Immigrations, Customs, Agriculture and Public Health. They provide assistance with entry documentation for arriving international passengers, queue management, and translation service. They also staff the public information counters in TBIT, providing information to the traveling public and the meeters and greeters. The Ambassador Unit consists of over 90 Airport Guides who provide a variety of airline and airport information to the traveling public. The Airport Guides are assign to the various terminals to assist airport travelers and meeter/greeters by providing information on appropriate lines for ticketing, baggage claim, security screening and ground transportation.
